Last updated: June 10, 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Match Studios website, booking flow, studio rental services, production services, meeting/workshop bookings, social-event bookings, equipment rentals, add-ons, and related services.
Match Studios is operated by Match Production LLC. By using this website, submitting a booking request, confirming a booking, paying an invoice, or using the studio, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Company information
Match Studios is operated by Match Production LLC.
Studio address: 545 8th Ave #2110, New York, NY 10018

2. Services covered by these terms
These terms apply to:
- Studio rental bookings
- Production bookings
- Photo, video, podcast, content, and commercial shoot bookings
- Meeting and workshop bookings
- Social-event bookings
- Equipment, furniture, backdrop, A/V, and lighting add-ons
- Crew and production add-ons, including makeup, hair, wardrobe, lighting assistant, gaffer, digitech, and similar services
- Any other service booked through Match Studios or arranged with Match Production LLC in writing
Additional written agreements, invoices, proposals, booking confirmations, or email approvals may include project-specific terms. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a signed written agreement, the signed written agreement will control for that specific booking.
3. Booking confirmation
A booking is not confirmed until required payment has been received and Match Studios has issued a booking confirmation by email, booking page, invoice, or other written confirmation. Submitting an inquiry or selecting a time in the booking flow does not guarantee availability until the booking is confirmed.
Match Studios may decline or cancel a booking request if the requested use is not suitable for the space, conflicts with building rules, creates safety concerns, violates these Terms, or cannot be supported operationally.
4. Payments
Booking requests are reviewed manually. Payment instructions are provided after availability and booking details are confirmed. Payment terms are shown in the booking confirmation, in the booking flow, or on the invoice. Bookings, add-ons, overtime, damage charges, cleaning charges, missing items, and other approved charges may be processed through a third-party payment processor. Payment processing fees are charged by third-party payment processors and may be non-refundable.
5. Booked time includes setup and breakdown
Your booked time includes all setup, load-in, shoot or event time, resets, cleanup, breakdown, and load-out. You may not enter the studio before the booked start time unless approved in writing. You must fully exit the studio by the booked end time unless overtime has been approved. Please book enough time for your actual use, including setup and cleanup.
6. Cancellation and refund policy
The following cancellation policy applies unless a different written policy is stated in your booking confirmation, proposal, invoice, or signed agreement.
24-hour booking grace period
You may receive a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours after booking confirmation, provided the booking start time is more than 48 hours away.
7 or more days before the booking start time
Cancellations made 7 or more days before the booking start time are eligible for a full refund of the booking price, minus any non-refundable payment processing fees and any non-refundable custom/vendor costs already committed.
72 hours to 7 days before the booking start time
Cancellations made between 72 hours and 7 days before the booking start time are eligible for a 50% refund of the booking price, excluding payment processing fees and any non-refundable custom/vendor costs.
Less than 72 hours before the booking start time
Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the booking start time are non-refundable.
No-shows
No-shows are non-refundable. A no-show may include failure to arrive, failure to access the space during the confirmed time, or cancellation after the scheduled start time.
7. Rescheduling policy
Rescheduling is subject to studio availability and written approval. One reschedule may be allowed at no additional charge if requested 7 or more days before the booking start time.
Rescheduling requests made between 72 hours and 7 days before the booking start time may be approved at Match Studios' discretion and may require a rescheduling fee or credit adjustment equal to 25% of the booking price. Rescheduling requests made less than 72 hours before the booking start time are not guaranteed and may be treated as a late cancellation. Rescheduled bookings are not eligible for additional refund flexibility unless approved in writing.
8. Custom crew, vendor, and special-order add-ons
Some add-ons require reserving contractors, vendors, rental items, or special resources. This may include makeup artists, hair stylists, wardrobe stylists, lighting assistants, gaffers, digitechs, digikit rentals, special lighting, A/V equipment, furniture, backdrops, or custom production support.
Once confirmed, custom crew, vendor, rental, and special-order add-ons may be non-refundable, even if the main booking is cancelled or rescheduled. If an add-on becomes unavailable, Match Studio may offer a comparable substitute, credit, refund for that add-on, or other reasonable solution.
9. Overtime
Overtime is not guaranteed and is subject to studio availability, building access, staff availability, and approval from Match Studios. If you remain in the studio after your confirmed end time, overtime may be charged in 30-minute increments based on the booking category, selected package, and applicable hourly rate.
If equipment, furniture, A/V, crew, or production add-ons continue into overtime, additional charges may apply. You authorize Match Studios and Match Production LLC to charge the payment method on file or issue an invoice for overtime and related charges.
10. Studio rules and client responsibilities
You are responsible for your team, guests, vendors, crew, talent, clients, and any person you bring into the studio. You agree to:
- Use the studio only for the approved booking purpose
- Keep activity contained within the studio and approved common areas
- Follow building rules, safety requirements, and staff instructions
- Respect the start and end time of your booking
- Maintain adult supervision of minors at all times
- Leave the studio in substantially the same condition as received
- Remove all personal items, production materials, trash, food, drinks, props, and rentals by the end of the booking
- Avoid blocking hallways, elevators, entrances, exits, or building operations
- Use equipment, furniture, and fixtures carefully and only for their intended purpose
11. Cleaning
Standard cleaning is included for normal studio use. You are responsible for basic cleanup before leaving, including removing personal items, production materials, food, drinks, and trash generated by your group.
Additional cleaning fees may apply for excessive mess, spills, stains, glitter, confetti, smoke residue, food waste, decorations, tape residue, or any condition requiring cleaning beyond normal turnover. If your booking includes social-event use, a required or optional cleaning service may be listed in the booking flow. Additional cleaning charges may still apply if the space is left in unusually dirty or damaged condition.
12. Damage, missing items, and security
You are responsible for damage to the studio, furniture, equipment, fixtures, floors, walls, windows, common areas, building property, or third-party property caused by you, your team, your guests, your vendors, or your activities. You are also responsible for missing equipment, missing accessories, broken items, excessive wear, and unauthorized removal of studio property.
Match Studios may charge the payment method on file or issue an invoice for repair, replacement, cleaning, labor, vendor costs, administrative costs, and related expenses. Match Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property, production equipment, client equipment, rentals, wardrobe, props, files, or valuables brought into the studio, except where required by law.
13. Prohibited uses and items
The following are prohibited unless approved in writing:
- Open flames, candles, sparklers, pyrotechnics, fireworks, or explosives
- Smoke, haze, fog, incense, or airborne effects
- Glitter, loose confetti, powders, sand, paint splatter, liquids, or messy materials
- Drilling, nailing, stapling, or permanent attachment to walls, floors, ceilings, furniture, or fixtures
- Illegal substances or unlawful activity
- Weapons or dangerous items
- Excessive noise or activity that disrupts the building or other tenants
- Animals, except legally required service animals or approved production animals
- Alcohol service or ticketed/public events unless specifically approved and legally compliant
- Uses that exceed building capacity, safety limits, or the approved booking purpose
Match Studios may stop or cancel activity that violates these rules, creates unsafe conditions, damages the space, disrupts the building, or violates applicable law. Refunds are not provided for bookings stopped due to client breach, unsafe conduct, or prohibited use.
14. Equipment and add-ons
Equipment, lighting, A/V, furniture, backdrops, and other add-ons are subject to availability and may vary by booking. You must use equipment safely and as instructed. Some equipment may require staff setup or approval before use.
Match Studios may substitute comparable equipment or remove unavailable add-ons from the booking if needed. If a paid add-on cannot be provided and no suitable replacement is available, the charge for that add-on may be refunded or credited.
15. Photography, video, sound, and production outcomes
The studio is offered as a flexible rental and production space. Match Studios does not guarantee any specific creative result, lighting result, sound result, production outcome, client approval, campaign performance, or final deliverable unless a separate written production agreement states otherwise.
The client is responsible for confirming that the space, equipment, layout, sound conditions, access, and rules are suitable for the intended use before booking.
16. Permits, releases, licenses, and legal compliance
You are responsible for securing any permits, releases, licenses, insurance, union clearances, music rights, location permissions, talent releases, model releases, product permissions, or other approvals required for your shoot, meeting, workshop, event, livestream, recording, or production. You are responsible for ensuring that all activity complies with applicable laws, regulations, building rules, and industry requirements.
17. Minors
If minors are present, you are responsible for ensuring appropriate adult supervision and obtaining any required parent/guardian permissions, work permits, school documentation, or legal approvals. Match Studios may stop activity involving minors if it appears unsafe, unauthorized, or non-compliant.
18. Third-party vendors and guests
Any outside vendors, contractors, caterers, production crew, stylists, performers, speakers, or service providers must follow these Terms, building rules, and staff instructions. You are responsible for the conduct, payments, insurance, property, and compliance of any outside vendors or guests you bring into the studio. Match Studios may deny entry to any person or vendor who creates safety, security, building, or operational concerns.
19. Insurance
Depending on the booking type, size, risk level, or use, Match Studios may require proof of insurance, a certificate of insurance, or additional insured language before confirming or allowing the booking. Failure to provide requested insurance documentation may result in cancellation or denial of access without refund if the requirement was communicated and not satisfied.
20. Building access and operating limitations
Studio access is subject to building rules, elevator access, security procedures, staff availability, and scheduled booking time. Match Studios is not responsible for delays caused by client late arrival, vendor late arrival, transportation, parking, elevator congestion, building security, guest management, missing information, or failure to follow access instructions.
21. Force majeure and emergencies
Match Studios is not liable for delays, interruptions, cancellations, or inability to perform caused by events outside reasonable control, including power outages, internet outages, building emergencies, fire, flood, severe weather, natural disasters, government orders, labor disruptions, illness, security incidents, equipment failure, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
If Match Studios must cancel a booking for reasons other than client breach, nonpayment, or unsafe/prohibited conduct, Match Studios may offer a reschedule, credit, or refund of amounts paid for the affected booking.
22. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Match Studios and Match Production LLC are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, lost-profit, lost-opportunity, reputational, production-delay, or business-interruption damages arising from use of the website, booking flow, studio, equipment, add-ons, or services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of Match Studios or Match Production LLC is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific booking giving rise to the claim.
23. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Match Studios, Match Production LLC, their owners, employees, contractors, representatives, building partners, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your booking, your use of the studio, your guests or vendors, your content or production activity, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or damage or injury caused by you or your group.
24. Website content and intellectual property
The website, text, graphics, branding, layout, photographs, videos, code, and other materials are owned by Match Production LLC or used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, scrape, modify, or use website content for commercial purposes without written permission.
