What kind of commercial shoots work well at Match Studios?
+
Match Studios works well for commercial photography, product photography, ecommerce photography, fashion lookbooks, beauty shoots, catalog refreshes, branded campaigns, founder-led campaigns, social-first commercial content, and compact commercial photoshoots that need a clean Midtown studio environment.
Can I use Match Studios as a commercial photo studio in NYC?
+
Yes. Match Studios can be used as a commercial photo studio in NYC for product imagery, ecommerce content, lookbooks, beauty campaigns, fashion content, brand campaigns, and studio commercial photography days. You can bring your own photographer and production team, or add selected support around the booking.
Is this a product photography studio or a general commercial photography studio?
+
It can work as both for the right scope. The space can be used as a product photography studio in NYC for products, apparel, accessories, beauty, and ecommerce content, or as a broader commercial photography studio for lookbooks, campaigns, portraits, and brand imagery.
Can ecommerce teams book the studio for product and catalog content?
+
Yes. Ecommerce teams can use Match Studios as an ecommerce photography studio in NYC for product photography, apparel content, PDP images, catalog refreshes, social commerce assets, and marketplace content. For search variants such as e commerce photography studio or e commerce photo studio, the public offer is the same: a flexible studio rental with optional production support.
Can I book a photo studio for product photography without hiring a photographer through Match Studios?
+
Yes. You can rent the photo studio for product photography and bring your own photographer, stylist, products, props, crew, and client team. Optional lighting, backdrop, DIT, digikit, makeup, hair, wardrobe, A/V, and furniture add-ons are available when they fit the booking.
Which studio should I choose for commercial product photography?
+
Studio 2110 works well for compact product photography, beauty content, small ecommerce sets, portraits, and one controlled commercial photo setup. Studio 1720 is better for larger product photography New York teams, higher product volume, fashion lookbooks, multiple sets, styling, client review, and larger commercial shoots.
Can I use the studio for lookbooks, fashion, and beauty campaigns?
+
Yes. The studio can support fashion lookbooks, apparel campaigns, beauty editorials, skincare content, cosmetics, hair content, model-based ecommerce photography, and brand campaign shoots. Share your crew size, number of looks, styling needs, and equipment plan so the right studio option can be confirmed.
Can clients or art directors review images on set?
+
Yes. For commercial shoots that need tethered capture, image review, file handling, or on-set backup, add DIT service, digikit rental, or both. These add-ons help commercial photography teams keep client review and file workflow organized during the booking.
Can I bring products, props, backdrops, or outside equipment?
+
Yes, most products, props, and outside equipment are allowed with advance notice. Any setup that may affect floors, walls, windows, electrical load, smoke detectors, sprinklers, building rules, or cleanup must be approved first. Clients are responsible for damage, missing items, and restoration costs.
Does commercial production time include setup and breakdown?
+
Yes. Your booked time includes load-in, product organization, styling setup, lighting setup, camera setup, HMU or wardrobe prep if booked, shooting time, client review if applicable, file handoff if applicable, resets, breakdown, cleanup, and load-out. Please choose enough time for the full production flow, not only the time in front of camera.
What is the cancellation, rescheduling, and overtime policy?
+
Commercial production bookings follow the standard Match Studios policy. Bookings may be cancelled for a full refund within 24 hours after booking confirmation if the start time is more than 48 hours away. After that, bookings cancelled 7 or more days before the start time are eligible for a full refund minus non-refundable processing fees and committed custom or vendor costs. Cancellations made between 72 hours and 7 days before the start time are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the start time are non-refundable. Overtime is not guaranteed and may be billed in 30-minute increments if approved or incurred. Crew, vendor, rental, and special-order add-ons may be non-refundable once confirmed.
Do commercial productions need a Certificate of Insurance?
+
Small standard commercial photography bookings may not require a COI. Larger shoots, outside crews, heavy equipment, high-value rented gear, special installations, client-managed crews, or higher-risk setups may require proof of insurance naming the appropriate parties as additional insured.
